Belize hotels can be found in all six districts of Belize. The six districts are:

BELIZE ACCOMMODATIONS

Click on a hotel name to learn more Each area of Belize offers many things to do, quaint villages and towns, and amenities for travelers. According to tourism agencies in Belize, the Northern district has a very rich culture and history. and also has wonderful diversity of nature. Both the Corozal District and the Orange Walk District belong to the Northern area, which is where visitors will find Hummingbird Hideaway Hostel. It's one of the more distinctive accommodations in the Northern district. This hostel is located on the Northern Highway in the quaint-sounding Ranchito Village. It's just one mile south of Corozal Town. Hummingbird Hostel has tent rental, cabins with TV, a restaurant, inside bathrooms, and a shady lounge area. There's an outdoor shower house, fully enclosed. Locals call the hostel "Gringos with the Palapas". It's conveniently near the Airport Road, an airport that has flights to San Pedro and Caye Caulker, that is.

San Pedro

If you're staying on San Pedro Island, there are local flights out of Belize International Airport, or water taxis out of Belize City. These water taxis leave every hour. Sand Pedro Island is home to Sundiver Beach Resort. This is a small hotel right on the ocean, under five miles from the main town, san Pedro. There are twelve rooms that have AC, TV, coffee maker, and phone. There are also two suites that have kitchens and mini-fridges. If you're on a budget, there's a budget hostel in San Pedro called Pedro's Backpackers' Inn. It's just south of town. It's basic, but very clean with pool, TV, internet, a bar, and a sunbathing deck.

San Ignacio

Two hours' drive south of Belize International Airport you'll find San Ignacio. There are buses out of Belize City, and taxis will take you too. In San Agnacio, you'll find out of the nicest Belize hotels, the Log Cab-Inn. It's a family-owned guesthouse just one mile outside of town. Gusts enjoy roomy cabins, Mayan ruins excursions from the lobby, a swimming pool with dining room overlooking it, and other excursions like hiking, caving and canoeing.

Caye Caulker

One of the best Belize hotels for water sports enthusiasts is Belize Odyssey Resort. It's actually located in the Hol Chan Marine Reserve on Caye Caulker. You can get there by domestic airlines, taxi or water taxi. This resort offers many amenities like private bathrooms, cable TV, balcony rooms, and air conditioning. A boat from their marina dock will get you to the coral reef in mere minutes, where you can enjoy diving, snorkeling, and fishing on the longest living barrier reef in this hemisphere. It's also the second largest in the world.

Toledo District Hotels

In the southern part of Belize, outside the city of Puna Gorda in the Toledo District we have another budget hotel, or rather an hostel. It's called Cuxlin Ha Youth Hostel and they have 24 rooms. There are fans, furnished kitchens, internet, ceramic tile floors, and full bath and showers. In the dining room you can purchase food. For activities they have a volleyball court, swimming pool, basketball court, and there are caverns and a river nearby to explore if you like canoeing and similar adventures.

Belize City

Belize City is the major center of business in Belize, and there are of course numerous hotels here as well. Every international traveler arrives via Belize International Airport, so of course there are numerous choices in Belize hotels here. The pHilip S.W. Goldson airport is a smaller domestic airport from which many of the interior activities can be reached via short plane trips. Here are a few of the hotels in Belize City:

Radisson Fort George

This is an upscale hotel, and overlooks the Caribbean Sea. There are over 100 rooms, all air-conditioned. It offers all the amenities of an international hotel, including excursions that can be arranged from the front desk of the hotel. You can arrange to go sportfishing, diving, or rain forest trekking from here as well.

The Great House Hotel

This Belize hotel is just yards or meters from the Caribbean Sea, and only 12 miles from the coral reef. It's 25 miles from Mayan Ruins and a ten minute walk from the center of the city. Talk about location! There are 12 rooms with private baths, cable TV, AC and full services.
